  • Please contact our intake team (either by phone or by filling out the form on our contact page) to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and any questions you may have, such as our insurance or private pay options, scheduling concerns, and more.

  • When speaking with our intake team, clients can request to work with a specific therapist and will be accommodated if possible. However, if you do not have a specific therapist in mind, our intake team will match you with the therapist we believe will be the best fit for you.

  • Therapy consists of weekly or bi-weekly sessions with your therapist. In sessions, you will identify goals to work toward, learn tools and strategies to overcome adversity, and more. Our therapists work collaboratively with you to help you meet your goals and eventually graduate from our services. All sessions are 53 minutes long, though clients in Couples and Family Therapy can request 75-minute sessions if needed.

  • Depending on the level of support needed, therapy typically lasts from six to eighteen months. While we will never rush you to meet any external timeline, therapy is not meant to last forever. We are determined to help you meet your goals, which include successful graduation from treatment. You are always welcome to come back if/when needed.

  • Our practice offers clients the option to pay privately or use their insurance for therapy. Serenity Within offers a superbill to clients who pay the full rate privately, which can be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

    When initiating services, our intake team provides a courtesy verification of your insurance plan based on the information provided to help you understand the costs of therapy. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and will be based on your individual plan with your provider. In addition, we recommend contacting your insurance provider before beginning therapy, so you know what to expect as well as know your ongoing plan information as your personal insurance plan may change.

    We offer the following rates for private pay:

    Licensed Therapists: $150 to $250

    Associate Therapists: $120 to $175

  • Cancellations and rescheduled sessions will be subject to a charge if notice is not received at least 24 hours before the start of your appointment. You MUST cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 24 hours in advance with your individual therapist to avoid fees.

    No Shows will be subject to a charge. Therapists also reserve the right to charge clients for a No Show in the event the client arrives 15 minutes or later to a session.

    Insurance companies cannot be billed for cancellation or no-show fees, therefore, clients are responsible for payment.

    Therapists reserve the right to waive one cancellation fee once per treatment series.

    Refunds are NOT available for sessions.
